So way back in December I blogged about how I had a few goals for this new year. One of them was to be healthier and get into better shape.
As you may remember, I did the Arbonne Challenge a couple times in 2016, but once those holidays hit, I fell off the wagon hard. I felt so amazing eating clean, but I’ll admit, I did find it hard to maintain, especially if going out for dinner or even to a family member’s house for a party. No gluten, no dairy, and no sugar (among other things) eliminates a lot of choices.
That beings said, I did really consider doing it one more time while also trying to work in some exercise. The problem is, I really find my motivation is lacking when it comes to exercise of any kind, no matter how much I know I should do it.
As luck would have it, a former work colleague reached out to be about a Facebook group she was starting for fitness. I’ll admit I had no idea what I was getting into when I replied to her message. It turns out it was the Beachbody and Shakeology program – which certainly wasn’t a bad thing! I had heard of them before through other people on Facebook and some people I follow on Instagram, but I really had NO idea what was involved.
Long story short, it’s officially day 4 of my 21 day challenge! I’m probably doing it mostly wrong since I haven’t received my Shakeology stuff in the mail (since I basically joined up at the last minute). I’ve been exercising on my own, but just got access to the Beachbody exercise “on demand” videos so I started those tonight. And, oh man. I am hurting already! I have a feeling my entire body will be jelly tomorrow, but I know (hope??) it will be worth it!
I’m mainly glad to be part of this Facebook group that will hold be accountable, because I know otherwise, I’d never stay with it (the first step is admitting it, right??). 😉
This was a bit of a short, lame post, but I’d really like to do a full before and after the 21 days post, in another effort to keep me accountable! I’d love to know if anyone else does Beachbody and what they think of it! I signed up with a special deal to get the “on demand” exercise videos for a year, so that’s also a huge plus!
I know I’ll only get out of it what I put into it, so here I go… ready to fully commit! Wish me luck!
