Confession posts are always fun, right? So I figured, why not have some for a Friday evening on this last night in September?
ONE. When cleaning out the buffet/sideboard in the dining room recently, I realized I own about 4 thousand cake stands. OK, so it’s more like 9, but still, it seems like a lot. It’s not like we have cake that often. I love each and every one though and have no plans to part with any of them!
I almost bought a black, sort of ornate one at Home Goods recently that would be perfect for Halloween decorating. I’m sure Jeff would be proud incredibly relieved I was able to restrain myself though! 😉
TWO. However, I did recently purchase this new pair of wedge booties:
I own a few other booties, but they are a different style, so I definitely needed these, right? And they are also a different color, so there’s that. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it! 😉
THREE. I just blogged about my experience with Arbonne, but in an effort to be real (but also not make that post any longer than it already was), I left out a confession. I totally cheated last weekend and had some bread and a third of a cupcake. The bread wasn’t worth it. The cupcake totally was though! (from one of my favorite local bakeries, Baked Cupcakery).
FOUR. I’m really second-guessing our decision not to press for speech therapy for Asher. I worry about him so much. I don’t want him to be behind and it makes me nervous when he doesn’t seem to always respond to people. Sometimes I think he may just be stubborn in some areas (which he probably is), but many times I worry it’s something more and we should be doing something.
I know I can still go back and push for more to be done. I just wish there was something else I could do for him myself that would help.
Parenthood is so hard. 🙁
FIVE. The last Confessions post, I mentioned how I hadn’t been able to find any Rae Dunn at my local Home Goods. Well, I have finally had some luck! I was there a couple weeks ago and found my first two mugs and a ‘trick or treat’ plate.
Then I realized that I could also potentially find some at Marshall’s, so I have hit the one up that’s only about 8 minutes from my house several times now and I’ve really scored!
I really wanted a spoon rest to replace our old gross one, and I nearly screamed (I may have actually made a small yelping sound) when I saw them there this past weekend.
I just love these pieces! The real confession part of this is that I totally love that it’s like a treasure hunt to see if a store has any, and where around the store they’ve “hidden” them.
Well, that’s all I got tonight, folks. Hope you all have a lovely weekend!
